ORVIS thank you 17 Years, 5 Months ago
Thank you to everyone who gave me relevent comments on the Orvis product line. It helped alot!! You can send me a private message if you have any other comments or thoughts that might help me out. I do encourage you guys to do a little market research your self. Especially in regards to prices and quality and garentees. I would love to hear what you discover when you do so. Keep in mind that I have been associated with almost every major manufacturer in the idustry for the past 7 years. I have been with orvis for four of them.

plus all us orvis guys do it for the chicks not the money!!

Not to be a smart a$$ but, how old are you? You look all of 19. So you have been drinking the kool aid for four years with Orvis but you have been associated with every major manufacturerer in the last 7. Quick math tells me you got all the other manufactureres covered in the other three years.

Re:ORVIS thank you 17 Years, 5 Months ago
I am nineteen and have been able to cast 100 ft since i was thirteen.I was certified when i turned 14,soon after placed second in the best of the west in san mateo mens division. I have won three national casting championships and am a damn fine fisherman. What because im not the avrage 50+ year old overweight fly fisherman i couldnt possibly know $hit about the sport. so quick math tells me im ahead of the game. I have been prostaffed through sage, gloomis, winston, Sa, Simms, and a couple of reel companies like galvan and bauer. Most of the those companies would send me gear just to try it. Orvis has probably given my brother and I close to 60,000$ worth of gear, pay our travel expenses and have given me more experience in 4 years than most kids my age wont even see until their mid twenties. I work forty hours a week and pull 3.5 on 18 units. so to answer your question yeah I'm on fast track. Beieve me i have delt with the age thing for a good 7 years. You write "drinking the cool aid" sorry bud, that term only applies to ignorant people. I hope your not calling me ignorant for being with orvis because i have pretty good deal. I may not like all orvis products but i dont like every product any one company makes. I am damn proud to a redneck and you would not catch me dead in 90% of orvis clothing but they make graeat fishing product at resonable prices. They donate 5% to conservation which are predomintly on the west coast. I dont think I am better than anybody else because I am with Orvis I just have worked very hard to be at the spot I am. I think all companies make great stuff and i have no problem if a guy like the way a z-axis cast then by all means go grab the z. I guess what it comes down to is I love the sport more than I love any one company and I want to see the sport stay alive I think orvis has the budget to help me in my mission. ps you and the duck make a cute couple sorry bout the rant im pretty sick of being looked down upon. I have it sweet no complaints!!

do you have the low-salt version??? 17 Years, 5 Months ago
When you have to bring out "the big guns" to sell product, I question the product. IMHO

When Orvis stops giving you product, AND you start paying full retail you will find the needless markup associated with Orvis product lines are what drives people away from this sport, rather than toward it.

you are so far off base!! you know how much orvis stuff i buy at full price! i actually buy alot. I also recomend orvis to my good friends who do pay full price. because i know its good product. The great part of it is i get my stuff for free because i can cast, i can fish, and i know my shit. I am sorry that at twelve years old I made the descion to work hard at what i do because i couldnt afford to go on trips and buy rods. god forbide I but put any input in because I work orvis. I am not a rep or any other individual who would get any kind of personal gain for orvis doing well. I Jerry Seims is a great guy and a great rod designer he has designed some of my favorite rods. quick look up who Jerry Seims is!!!!
