I was wondering if any other posters out there belong to TU? If so, do you actively participate in your local chapter and/or is your chapter active?
I've been a member of TU for the past 4 years and have not had a single piece of corresponadance from the local chapter. I have first hand knowledge of their activities from my continued involvment with one of their projects on the lower Russian River...however, I have never heard anything directly from the chapter, nor are there chapter meetings, newsletters, etc. I'm really re-thinking my membership because of it. I just don't see the need being the work we do with/for them. If the money is an issue, I can donate directly to the project and not have it funnel back to the local chapter/projects that are important to me through a national network.
What have others experience/thoughts been on Trout Unlimited?
