Anyone fish Manzanita lately? Conditions? Hatches? Amusing anecdotes? Any info would be appreciated.

We will be going to Manzanita this Tues. I can report after our trip if you still need the info.
I called the Rim Rock Ranch and they said there were Callibaetis last week and this week warming trend should improve the hatch. We will See.

I'm on the road before then, so net access with be zilch. I was wondering how the lake was, to see if it was worth a stop on my trip. Right now it rates as a definite maybe. Thanks for your efforts all the same.

Cheers!

It's been a while since I've fished it, so this isn't recent, but I love the lake and wouldn't pass it by if going throug the area. Don't need a float tube, plenty of fishing to be had by walking the shore. The CB hatch is fun, but it is short lived, so have plenty of soft hackles and bring your really, really slow strip and you are in business.

Cool place.

Hey Janet,
Please do post that report after your trip on Tuesday. A Manzanita trip is likely the only fishing I'll get to do at the BASH this year.
I've had good success this time of year with soft-hackles like Denny's AP emerger.
