Snowin and Blowin 14 Years, 7 Months ago
We have had excellent fishing here in Plumas County the past few weeks. Almanor has been on fire. Pond smelt populations are at an all time high and there have been loads of hungry rainbows and browns chasing them. Davis and Frenchman have been producing limits of big fish and Bucks Lake is in its usual fall mode...which means lots of fish. But now here in Quincy at 3.300 feet its snowing chicken feathers. Its been sticking here for a couple hours. I have a feeling we are in for a big one. Streams are closed now and lake access will be limited by the snow. Bummer. But I'll keep trying. I love fall. Winter is fun, but fall fishing is hard to beat.
