I'm afraid I've exhausted my knowledge of Yosemite fishing. Trips to the Valley have usually been sight-seeing and hiking with family--no fishing. My trips to Tuolomne Meadows were a long time ago.

If you have access to old issues of California Fly Fisher mag, there have been a few articles about Yosemite fishing. You'll need to do some research.

And Colombia was quite safe in the 60's, except for a few Che Guevarra wannabes in isolated areas.
