A steelhead fly fisherman needs two qualities:
A strong casting arm and a room temperature IQ.

Mike, if I told you it would be breaking a trust, BUT, I can tell you that we were based in Lander, Wy, that there's at least one sporting goods store in town that could help you and there's a game and fish office in that area. There is more than one drainage where there are lakes with goldens. Happy hunting.

Hey I totally understand, I appreciate the hard work that goes into finding a gem spot. One of my best trips was a pack trip in the sierras in California we went up to 13,000' and it was cool, saw a mountain lion, very cool. Thanks for the info.

Beautiful fish. But I'm sure that's only a 6" net.

Nevertheless, I enjoy your reports from the Wind River area. Been there a few times myself, but never got those big goldens.

Cheers,
El Rey

Good one ER. But, it wasn't my tropical fish net. Just measured it and the length of the opening is 16". Glad you enjoyed the report. I'll PM you.

Guess I can't PM you. The Board wouldn't let me.
