any info on the Hex hatch??? 15 Years ago
almanor?..Butte Valley?? Fall River?? It should be starting soon if not already. I am thinking of taking by Niece's family camping and if there is a hatch, then why not camp there.

TIA

We have a cabin on the west shore of Almanor. I went last Wednesday to check it out. Saw one bug! (Figured it was a bit early....but any excuse...) I have heard its starting to pick up since then but still a bit early.

This does beg the question of what triggers the hatch. Water temps are cooler than usual. But the hatch seems to be on schedule. Could it be day-light length?

I was told a long time ago by a local that the peak is July 4th. That being so, then lenght of daylight might be a factor? Dawn should know
