Sac Stripers, Shad and Feather trout 15 Years, 2 Months ago
Those of you that know me, know I am not a purist or elitetist Fly fisherman, to say the least!
I just wanted to announce that the Striper fishing was phenomanal just above Colusa yesterday and we even caught some shad while gear fishing for stripers!
The waters is still high and off color, yet it is dropping and clearing! So watch the river because it could be Flyfishable by the end of the week!
Some big stripers are around! I cracked off 3 using Maxima 25 lb leader!
On the Feather, I caught a nice bright wild steelie about 24" and two others on a crippled caddis while fishing dries on my 5wt near the Temple, Saturday morning. Finally a real spring!
Getum! FRG/CB
