Biggest storm of the season blew in New Years eve. The S. Fork muddied up and rose quite a bit. With the forecast looking dry for awhile the river should be fishable sometime this week. Clearing will start upstream in the Leggett area first. Reminder ... If you're going to fish Steely water you need to make the entry on your Steelhead Card before you wet your line.

Great reminder. My buddy was fishing the American last month, and almost
got a ticket from a DFG guy just for not entering the info on his steelhead
card beforehand. Note to self.
