The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

Hello all,

I'm looking for fishing access to both of these streams. I'll be staying at the KOA just East of Shingletown this weekend with my mother and daughter and they want to go fly fishing. So I was thinking I would take them to either of these streams since they were so close by. Although, I haven't fished either in over 25 years so I'm not sure where I can access the streams. If I remember correctly, there's access to Battle Creek just below McCumber. If you know of other access points please share if you're willing to. Also, let me know if Grace Lake or North Battle Creek Res would be a better alternative.

Hey Louie,

Your best bet might be to set up camp at North Battle Creek Resevior. That way you can fish the lake and the top end of Battle Creek since it flows out of the resevior. It's a beautful area with some very good small creek fishing within close driving distance.
Grace and Nora Lakes are pretty populated with the bait folks and haven't heard if they are still stocking those lakes with planters.
