FYI, just read on the Trout Underground that Joe Kimsey is in the hospital and may have had a stroke. He's be a mainstay up in Dunsmuir at the Ted Fay shop for longer than I've been alive.

Although I didn't know Joe that well, I always stopped by to say hi and buy something when I was in the area.

I hope he has a speed recovery

Seen and talked to Joe a lot at the various fly tying venues around the country. Quite a character and an icon in the industry. Thoughts will be focused on his recovery.

Joe is out of the hospital and staying with family, according to the Trout Underground. Sounds like he has a long road to recovery.

I called Bob Grace this morning about our friend Joe Kimsey and Bob advised that Joe is recovering at his niece’s home after his mild stroke. He did have some left side difficulties that we all hope will go away with time. They are working on living arrangements, so for now cards should go to the shop and Bob will deliver them:
