Nice pic, PT. Mine is a Stalker 7' 3wt that I built from a kit right at the end of their fiberglass era. With the Winston superfine grip and an impregnated Rosewood nickel-silver reel seat, it is a classic of American rodmaking. I have a Hardy Flyweight on mine. Not much distance in that little rod, but I can drop a dry accurately within 40' without a whisper on the water. Of course, since there is so much flex in the rod, with that much line out it is a trick to actually get the hook set before the fish spits the fly.
For a change, I took it bass fishing a couple of months ago. Whee!
I'm saving my pennies and I'm saving my dimes to get one of the new blanks to build one up and see how she works. I'll post a report when and if I get one.
