I guess i'll ask, has anyone been fishing the Hat or Pit lately and can give up some info ?
I would like to know what to have in my arsenal for next w/e beside a box of worms
any recent info would be good ????? Does this sound like begging

dunno about hat, havnt been there in a week and a half, i heard sallies are coming off? i know the fish have been taking green drake cripples wheather or not they were hatching. but the pit has been hot on the evening dry bite. midday high sticking is pulling lots of fish.

Thanks for the info Btrout , I'll dust off the box of dries should be both Drakes and Sallies in it.

Throw some Callibaetis patterns in the box and drive a ways from the Bash site to a little lake in a nearby national park.


Last Friday & Saturday (in the rain and fog) I managed to land a couple of handfuls of fish that all seemed to be 16-17". A lot of rising fish to which I could cast made up for everything (boat, net, fish & me)being wet until Sunday afternoon. The fishing sucked in the bright sun on Sunday, can't have everything.

if you havnt headed out yet, the pit sorta rocked tonight, 65 in 5 hours between two guys. no big fish but lots in the low to mid teens
bring caddis, PED's and goldens, leave the nymphs at home!!
its to the mccloud in the morning, this is going to be a good weekend!
