In this age of austerity I find myself in the market for a canoe rather than the Whaler I had my eye on. I'm looking at the Mad River Angler 14 with the IQ gunwales to serve a dual purpose of being something I can go out on avec my wife - probably sierra lakes & then something I can also reconfigure solo to be a pure fishing platform.

Anyone own one? Does the IQ system work well? I saw some reviews from a few years back that indicated it was problematic but am hopeful these have been fixed.
