Buzz, couple of quick questions... Will be up on the NF Stan (Dorrington/Arnold) the 1st weekend of June & there is some concern about high flows. Is there any link that shows flows (could not find any)? Do you think Beaver and Griswold Creeks will offer "backup" fishing if the flows are too high?
Thank you

Stlhedr,
Dreamflows has flow data on the N. Stanislaus at Avery, just below Arnold, so that is probably close enough.
It can be a bit of a crap shoot in early June on the N. Stan, but I think your approach is perfect and will work out best. If the Stan is still running a bit high, Beaver Creek should be perfect (Never fished Griswold, so no opinion). If Stan is in condition you are good to go.
Have a great time, and post a report!

Hey Buzz, how did the Lob dude do? 16 Years, 10 Months ago

Rich is a true character. Did he start off with his patented, "I have no reason to stretch the truth" disclaimer? His Syl Nemes stories are hilarious.

Hey Gitt,
Yes, he DID start with that disclaimer, and I knew we were in for a wild ride!
Basically, he just had a slide show with a bunch of pics of the Tracy gang fishing various spots around the west, sequenced to the time of year. Rich has no shortage of words, that's for sure! He was cracking me up, because he would switch slides, look for a couple of seconds, and when the entire scene registered in his mind, he would let out this little "Heh", and then launch into the story. Is there anyone he DOESN'T know? You were in a few of those pics too, Craig. Lots of great info was passed along, with tips and tricks, and words of encouragement to our fledgling club.

Yep, that is Rich. You might have noticed, he isn't too selective who he fishes with either, just as long as they fish.
