Yeah, I know it's a "big box" store, but this reel sale at Cabelas is too good to pass up. Ross Reels have updated their Momentum Reels, so the older model is on sale for 50% or more off of the regular price.
I bought a couple of the Model 8 reels for my July Baja trip at $295 each. Regular price was $645 each.
My guide for the trip highly recommended the reel at that price. I did see that on Blanton's Board there were mixed reviews. They ain't Abels or Tibors, but they're MUCH less expensive. The spools are really cheap too.
The reels come in black or gold. There are 5 models from 7-9 wt. to 13-15 wt.
