The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

I braved the heat to fish the Yuba yesterday. I found a small six-compartment, clear plastic fly box filled with nice flies. If you can identify the distinctive fly shop logo on the box, or at least the name of the town, you can claim it, and I will mail it to you.

BTW, fishing was spectacular. I've been waiting for this kind of day for a long time. Lots of bugs on the water, and many, many fish feeding on the surface, or just under on emergers. Caught and landed four on dries, LDR'ed two, and had several refusals. PMDs early, then March Browns from 1:00 to 4:00. The usual imitations all worked.

Looking forward to getting out there Sunday evening after the Sacramento Valley Highland Games, at which I will be displaying my knees, if you can get your eyes off Renee's new Celtic Warrior Princess leather outfit long enough to notice me.

I'll be there with the Hounds Saturday and Sunday, and on the river Sunday evening and Monday. No kilt on the river....
