I would like to express my support for the Paiute cutthroat restoration project on Silver King Creek. I endorse alternative number 2, eradicating non-native trout below Llewellyn Falls using rotenone, described in exhaustive detail in the draft EIS/EIR that is in comment period now. It is long overdue to start protecting and preserving this unique specie of trout in our state’s rich and varied natural resources.

It is a work in progress, but at least I could get the message out that way. I am at a loss as to what I put in that message, even when I re-typed the whole darn thing, gave the WSOD. I thought it was the links, but it turns out that after bracketing them with the URL tags, it still killed it. I guess I should try Buzz's suggestion and use the preview button...

I also forwarded the email to the club president's bounce list, so all affiliated FF club presidents, the ones that have an email address on file, should have received a copy as well.

Thanks for posting about this, I am going to do a blog post about this issue and hopefully can draw in some support for the restoration of the Paiutes to Silver King. It would be a shame to see this project scratched as it is probably the best chance at full restoring a native trout to its entire native range.

I sent my letter out this morning and hopefully this will get some more letters as well Support Needed for the Restoration of the Paiute Cutthroat. This project has been put off far too many times from the misguided/ uneducated concerns of "environmentalist," and it is about time that it gets rolling again.
