Hmmm... a tough one... 16 Years, 11 Months ago
I'm going to have to guess: either MacDonald Lake or Kintla Lake, both in Glacier NP, Montana.

Well, that does narrow it down a bit. Alrighty, two more guesses:

Shadow Mountain Lake in Rocky Mountain NP, Colorado

or

Ross Lake in North Cascades NP, Washington

If not those, then I have NO idea!

I think I have it... 16 Years, 10 Months ago
Could it be Jackson Lake in Grand Teton NP? Home of the Yellowstone Cutt and the Snake River Finespotted Cutt? If so, the picture is tricky, since Jackson Lake is so much bigger than it shows in the photo. Perhaps you took it from one of the narrower branches on the south end of the lake?

OR I could be dead wrong...again...

Interesting! I know of Olympic NP, but I've never heard of those sub-species of trout before. I looked in Behnke's book and didn't see any mention of them. Do you know their orgins? Are they like tiger trout, a brook trout X brown trout hybrid?
