I am thinking about trying mcloud lake instead of heading to the pit. In my head I think that I will be sight fishing to cruising fish, but I have no idea what to really expect. just curious if its even worth a shot.

well with nothing to go on I headed to the upper sac(to lazy to attempt the pit today) water was up and clear. hooked 7 landed three from 16.5-18in every fish I hooked was decent, but they were pretty much owning me, stones and brassies where hot.
I am still curious about the lake though?

Fish the boat launch cove area. Intermediate line and a damsel nymph has been the ticket close to shore. Otherwise just go with leach patterns. The old gravel or dirt boat launch on the cove a little farther holds some good fish as well. I have seen spin guys do well hauling fish out of there on the ride into Ah-di-nah.
