I never got to fly fish with my Dad, but we did get to fish. It was dinner fishing, most of the time - hand lining for flounders, or mackerel, or pollock or cod; or fishing with a cane pole (not a rod, a POLE) with live tiny shrimp for smelt for breakfast. I treasure those memories as some of the best times we had together.

That is one reason why I fish with my sons and grandsons every chance I get, and I nag the sons for more chances.

Precious memories, indeed.
