Just an FYI, if you watch the Golf Channel coverage of the Sony Open this weekend, look at the flats behind the commentators booth. If you see an old geezer with an NCFFB Bash hat on leaning into the wind... that would be me.
Miss you guys!*

Harry,

It's steelhead season. Why would I be watching Golf??

cuz the Big Sur is at 15 CFS, and the Carmel is flatlined at 0.000 CFS since August.

Hope you get one (or a dozen!!)

Hey pal, I saw an adult steelhead in the Big Sur last Feb and helped a guy land an 8 pounder in March in the Carmel. Not that I have caught one yet...

it's still the season, and you catch nothing on a rod in the garage!

Or are you leaning on a cane old guy!

P.S. I guess I'm an old guy too, with my 60th next month

My favorite thing about fishing isn't the catching, but just being there - Beerfly

Ed-
I haven't caught one out of the Big Sur yet either---
I look at it as a existential experience.
It could happen?

Not with the Big Sur running at 15 CFS [40 CFS needed to open]

but once we do get some rain, maybe. A few get caught every year, some even by fly fishers....

Carmel is still flatlined at 0 CFS- underground...
