Trinity steelhead? 17 Years, 2 Months ago

Anyone have any info on steelhead in the Trinity? I've been wanting to do a trip out there, but would like to know what's happening on the river before I head out.

my buddy told me they're spread throughout the system. This was a few weeks ago. I would imagine the water to be gin clear right now. Might be best to leave these fish alone... give them a chance to move on the next rain.
That being said i'm still dying to get up there and fish!

I'm not sure why you would leae them alone because the water is clear... nothing better than site fishing for li'l trin steelhead.

Stay inside... never go fishing especially during winter... it sucks... don't go... There are definately no Steelhead in California rivers... You might as well go to Oregon.

true dat. i just feel a little bad for the fish when they're stuck in a hole w/ 20 dudes hammering it all day.

OK, so it's either a round of golf or fishing. This warm weather has to be taken advantage of! I could always try the Yuba below the hwy 20 bridge. That's only 20 minutes from my house. Hey! Maybe I'll golf in the morning and fish in the afternoon! Wow, you gotta love livin' in California!
