Yeah, that was a pretty funny line... and it was pretty true.

The biggest challenge of the whole trip seemed to be seeing the fish. On my DIY days I could spot fish, just WAY too close... 10 feet, 15 feet... doesn't really put you in position to make the cast... especially with a 10 foot 9 wt. But you go fishing with the rods you have... although I could have, and probably should have, borrowed a rod from a friend who offered.

The other thing he said...

Him - "So, you do a lot of trout fishing back home?"
Me - "Yeah, I do a lot of it, or I used to." (thinking "well, he can see that I fish a lot... am not a stranger to a fly rod"
Him - "I can tell... you have a trout set, you have to stop doing that."
Me - (Thinking "DARN, I thought I was strip setting!"

Very cool, Bjorn! Sounds like a great time...I absolutely love bonefishing.

Certainly easy to understand why they call them the Gray Ghosts of the Flats, huh?
