I've made it out a couple of times lately... on Saturday I fished the LT. Have not done well there usually. I didn't get a lot of hours in and there were lots of people, but still had a good time casting dries. Managed just one fish, about 17", to hand, but a nice looking, beautifully colored rainbow on a #20 Parachute Adams. Kind of hard to top that and I was pretty happy to just look for rising fish for the other couple hours I was out there.
Yesterday went out to the Middle Fork American and had a very nice time as well. Had 7 to hand, largest about 15". First cast, first fish. Ran into a really nice hatch of mayflies and a nice rise of trout. Landed 3 on dries, which was unexpected for Nov. 19th, but very nice.
Yippee to fishing!
