A Fishing Report 17 Years, 5 Months ago
Spent much of the day on one of the smaller Valley tailwaters. Hooked 5, landed only one. All nice 10" to 12"ers. There was a nice baetis hatch.

Thought I'd check out the Moke while in the neighborhood, so drove over there about 3:00. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb. Should have checked the Regs. The Moke is closed from Oct 15 until Dec 31!

Double checked the regs on that first tailwater when I got home--saw no other flyfishers--thought maybe I had fished illegaly. It closes end of March until end of May. Whew.

Nice day anyhow.

Cheers,
El Rey

El Rey,

Was that other tailwater just south of the Moke, or a couple south of the Moke?

It was the one, which shall not be named, closest to Valley Springs. I guess I just identified it.
