Really Really Bad News..... 17 Years, 5 Months ago  
Janet Brown, a long time contributor of this board, passed away last night. She had had an operation and never recovered, dying in her sleep with her puppy near her and Dave with her as well. She will be sorely missed and remembered with fondness for her kindness, sharing nature and great information. God Speed Janet, our prayers are with you and our hearts and prayers are with Dave.

I talked to Dave and a service will be held, final arrangements will be posted here as soon as I find out from Dave or the family. Believe it will be up in that area on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

How sad. Our prayers are with Dave. We always enjoyed meeting them on our many trips to Burney over the years, especially at the Bashes.

So sorry to hear this news. I had the opportunity to tie flies for Janet and Dave for a few years and really enjoyed Janet's expertise and knowledge. She will truly be missed. Condolences Dave.

Really sorry to here that. Although I never met her, I enjoyed her
posts and information. She was always had a very friendly demeanor.

I always really liked Janet. She was a really nice person. I think she was at the first Bash at Lake Siskiyou, in addition to having that shop outside of Burney. I'm not really fond of the recent trend of losing folks on the Board here. I guess this happens and time marches on, but it is a huge bummer that our fly fishing universe is now without Janet Brown.

Thanks Charlie. I'm so sorry to hear this. Dave, you will be in my thoughts. Janet was such a warm and genuine person. I always looked forward to seeing her at bashes. She will be missed.

So sorry to hear about this. I just met Dave and Janet at this last Spring Bash, but they were well-known to me through the board for their expert knowledge of Hat Creek. My prayers are with Dave.

Wow, this is certainly really bad news and we are really saddened. Janet was an original BASH'er, a valued to contributor to this & the FlyFishNorCal site and a good friend.
