I met Janet on my first flyfishing adventure to the Hat Creek area in about 1997 when I was just starting to flyfish...she helped me pick out a Stimulator pattern. I had no idea that I would get to know her through this board over the next 10 years. I always enjoyed stopping by Trout Country on the way to the bashes with Greg and Dawd and seeing her and Dave.

She is a true Matriarch of Northern California Flyfishing.

I always think of Hat Creek as Janet and Dave's river...I guess I always will.

Not sure if Dave will be checking the board, but if you do Dave...you have my condolences and my prayers are with you. Janet is fishing the best waters now.

I'm sad to hear of this loss. Janet was one of the first people I met from the board at the very first Bash. She and Dave are pleasant people to be around and I have enjoyed sitting around the fire on more than one occaision with both of them weaving tales of fishing and life. My prayers are with you Dave.

I am sorry to hear that. Janet and Dave were always very warm and welcoming to me as a real newbie, and really tried to help me out.

My prayers are with them.
