Saturday my Wife and I drove over Hwy 88 looking for the aspen trees turning color. We found some, and also while over there, I took pictures of some of the lakes we passed.
We made it as far as Hope Valley before turning around to head home. There were snow flurries but it wasn't too bad. Couldn't go over Sonora Pass because the snow closed the road.I thought about fishin Heenen but I heard (afterwards) they closed Monitor pass because of the snow. It did look very stormy over that way.
I did bring the rod but only did some token fishing on the Mokelumne river on the way home for 20 min for nada.
Here's some of the pictures.
Sliver Lake
Caples Lake ( I just read the artical on Caples here on the ncffb)
Red Lake: I talked to a gentelman there who had 4 fish, looked to be about 12" brookies.
My Favorite shot of the day !!
We stopped at Cook Station for a chili burger, it was good..
