I spoke with some folks and decided on the Pit River. This will be my first time fishing this river, though I have fished in the Burney area before.

Question, where is the best place to camp and access the Pit? In particular, I am looking at fishing the #3 stretch.

BTW, I love fishing the North Fork of the Yuba but the friend of mine accompanying me has always had poor luck there, hence the decision to look elsewhere. Thanks for the tips.
