Hey Folks!

I have not been able to fish much at all this year because of work and some major changes for the family. Thought I would let you know I am still alive and kicking and let you know what all has been happenign this year with Dana and I.

My oldest son Jimmy and his wife Becca recently moved back in with Dana and I so they can get themselves caught up financially and save up to try to get into a house. Over the last month or so we remodeled our upstairs room for them that I had added on to the house 20 years ago and we just got them moved ina couple weeks back. I think they are enjoying their little hideaway upstairs with a sitting area and TV to watch as well.

Next, just this last Monday my daughter Jennifer made Dana and I grandparents for the first time! Aaron Joshua Reeves, 8 lbs 5 oz, a healthy baby boy and Mother and Son are both doing just fine. Wow, hard to believe we are now actually grandparents. Where did the last 30 years of marriage and having 3 kids around all the time go ?! With retirement around the corner I hope to spend a lot of time with him as he grows up.

And then there is work, Geeze, it is killing me this year. Boy I am glad next year is my retirement target !

Here are a couple pictures of both family events. I really plan to get out and do some fishing this fall!

The best thing about grandkids is you don't HAVE to change their diaper. You may, if you wish, but (at least Granddads) can hand 'em back after spoiling them to get the britches changed.

Bill and I are very happy with the changes in our household. I agree that being grandparents will be a great treat. We can definately spoil them then hand them back to our kids to handle, especially the diapers. Great fun ahead in our family! Thanks for all the congratulations from the board!

Hey Folks!

As the Silver Lady (Dana, my better half!) said in her report, we are overjoyed with the changes in our household and already savoring our new roles as grandparents .

I gave my oldest son (28 now) a fly rod on his first birthday and I cant wait to do the same thing for my grandson! Thanks again for all the well wishes! Here is a picture of Jennifer and Aaron after they came home yesterday. They are all very happy to be home!

By the way Jeff, My daughter and her husband are not the married couple that moved in with us so my grandson is not quite that close. It was my oldest son and his wife that are living with us for a while.
