It has been a long time since I have had the opportunity to fish or for that matter post a message. I do miss fishing as I have not been able to "dip a lure" for almost a year at this point. Earlier this year our middle son Tanner was diagnosed with Juvenile Xanthogranuloma a generally a benign and self-limiting disease, but complications can occur when the space that the tumor occupies causes functional impairment. Tanner's GXJ is on his airway and has caused issues with his eating and breathing. He has spent 65 days in this hospital this year including a 17 day stay at Lucille Packard's Children's Hospital at Stanford University.
At this time Tanner has received a feeding port, tracheotomy and a port for Chemotherapy. He has received two Chemo treatments and is battling through this entire process with an amazing grace, especially since his is only three years old. I hope you do not mind but here is a link to his website which we have created to keep family and friends updated as he battles this disease.
