Need new Tires 17 Years, 6 Months ago

I'm looking for some new tires for my Silverado Truck. Tire prices have gone way up recently and looking for some suggestions. I would say I spend 90% on road and 10% off road. Trying to find a tire thats quiet on the highway but has some bite for off road. Thanks in advance.

I would consider going to Big O Tires in your area. They should be able to suggest some options that will help you. I have been dealing with them for years and have never had a complaint...plus tire rotations on a regular basis are free. Additionally, they are nation-wide and most medium to large towns have outlets where you can get service and help.

I put a set of BF Goodrich Rugged Trails on my pickup and couldn't be happier. There's enough tread to give you traction off-road, but they're less noisy that the All-Terrains. Add some stiffer shocks and they will last a LONG time.

I have Michelin's on my Suburban, and with 80k miles on them, I still have 1/2 the tread left. I have never had tires last this long. I got a business card from a tire wholesaler today, he gave me the name of a guy on Sacto that will give me a deal on tires if I mention his name. If you want to drive to Sacto, Pm me and I'll give his info.
