Green River Trip Report 17 Years, 7 Months ago
So we headed out on our quasi-annual guys trip this past weekend where pop and his boys do a lot of fishing, drinking and lying. Ok, mostly just fishing these days.
Headed out to the Green River in Utah and spent 3 days drifting the river below Flaming Gorge with Spinner Fall Guides. http://www.spinnerfall.com/ They know their stuff. We caught a lot of fish, all on large dries. Avg fish was a 15" brown. Here's a few photos from the trip.

That second photo brings back memories, but you gotta love that frog water for holding browns. I was suppose to go last year about this time, but the mother in law passed away a couple of days before the trip. The wife didn't want to delay the funeral and keep her on ice until I got back, so of course I had to cancel. Sure was glad about that. After the funeral I got the pass to join my buddies. Like who in their right mind would pick anyone up 4 hours away back at Salt Lake City after fishing all day? I passed on the offer- a good thing too. The day time air temps went from 85 to the 50's from storms and the like. My group brought rain gear the first day and wore shorts the next. Thats when thunderstorms persisted all day, without the raingear or layers. One guy was shivering so bad, they thought he was a goner.

Your trip shows better conditions. Thanks for posting with pics.

Nice report and pics. Been several years since I last hit the Green. It is one heck of a river!
