Truckee Report 17 Years, 7 Months ago
I fished the Truckee last Weds and Thurs, mostly fishing the stretch below the sewage plant, but also just above the Glenshire bridge for a while. The guys at Mt. Hardware reported that crawfish would be working--they were right! Largest landed was about 15". Also caught several 10" to 12"ers on a Hares Ear.

I got tired of throwing all that weight, so I switched to terrestrials and got several on a hopper and a few on an ant. Saw no hatches or surface action, even near dark on Weds.

I was questioned by a DFG survey guy. Asked #s of fish, did I release them, time spent fishing, my zip code. He also told me of some guys reporting lots of fish caught on red humpies down near Floristan.

Mt. Hardware told me that flows on the LT had just been jacked up and not even to bother. I didn't. I had wanted to fish my favorite stretch out in the meadow. I'll be back.

Go Bears,
El Rey
