rookie question 17 Years, 7 Months ago
How far back do I tie on a foam indicator from the fly while fishing for small trout?

Should it be tied where the tapered leader knot attaches to the fly line or is that too far back?

I have these small orange foam indicators with a hole straight through them, about 1/2 inch long.

Thanks for the help

about 2 times the depth 17 Years, 7 Months ago
depending on velocity of creek and number of weights on line

Paul

ps: just regular line works fine, ya don't need a tapered leader.
