You betcha! There has to be pets in heaven. Try Romans 8:22 or many other places where God reclaims all of his "creations". How about Revelation? Many references to animals in heaven. Even says Jesus comes riding on a white horse or why would a lion lie down with a lamb?. The bible was written for man and his fall from grace. We're the ones who screwed up, not them. The animals didn't have a choice. I know many animals with more unconditional love and kindness in their hearts than many people I know.

Yup and after Slim & I showed everyone all those huge trout around the marina at Lower Twin, that you weren't allowed to fish for off the marina, the next morning the edge of the marina on the lake looked like a bowl of Cheerios with all the float tubes right there trying to entice them out. Don't remember if anyone ever got one.

What a great shot of the Enforcer on the back of the float tube. Great picture to remember him by.

Rick I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the day she backed down Jake like it was yesterday, and after yourself she was the second person I ever met from this board at that BASH. Lots of good times and memories between then and now. She was one of a kind to be sure.

Sorry for your loss Beerfly,
I remember that cute little dog well, snuggling in my jacket while at the first rod bash held in Redding at the Peace Officers lodge. You don't replace your best friend when you loose them, you just make room in your heart for a another one.

Very sorry to hear this, Beerfly. She was one of a kind. To tell you the truth, I haven't felt safe from bears at any Bash she was absent from since she granted me her protection at the Markleeville bash.

My thoughts are with you--big hugs!

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Beerfly. From this thread it looks like she won over quite a few hearts. I'm still missing old Sammie who I had to put down this past June - I still expect to see her come busting out of the brush from time to time when I'm out on the water.

Those words of wisdom already posted do help...

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.
