Just a note to all who use the online river flow site for the East Walker. I just noticed this note this morning. I've been checking the flows fairly regularly, but haven't paid much attention to the rest of the web page. Here is the note:
"Funding for several gaging stations in the Walker Basin may be
discontinued in 2008. This site could be discontinued after June 30, 2008,unless an alternative source of funding is obtained. For information about funding this site, please contact Kerry Garcia at (775)887-7659."
I haven't tried to call yet, but thought I would post this information. I'm only 40 miles away and I rely on this web siter for current information. Those of you who fish the EW and are farther away may wish to inquire. The EW flow site is:
