You'll get absolutely no argument from me.
Can I get an "amen"? Amen.

Well stated, IMHO.

Even though you dont choose to report you do choose to bash RJ everytime he does. If my count is correct a lot more web space has been used up bashing him for giving an informative report than what his origional report takes up! You seem to think by pointing out that he is a guide and pasting in a can of spam that you are somehow giving yourself credit! Its pretty ridiculous since those who wish to waste web space and just stir up some sh#t could much more easily just not click on his reports when they see them, and let those that do find them helpful and informative read them. Everyone is not an expert like you sacdrifter!

Thanks Ryan! 17 Years, 7 Months ago
Thanks for the report. I have not been able to get out lately, so it is nice to at least read when someone else has.

Greg -

I was replying to ANGLERNUT's post.
I wasn't replying to RJ's post. There is nothing to reply to. It's the same report as his last couple. (And I have not 'bashed every report'. Check your facts.)
I could do the same, but why ????
A half dozen other guides could do the same, but they don't.

If I put a report up here everytime I guided the L Sac, it would get very old, very quickly. RJ's are getting there...
I've been part of this community 9 or 10 years, and have learned what it's for, and what it's not for. It's not for posting guiding results every few days.
That's all I'm saying....

And I never claimed to be an expert.
I am, however, pretty experienced at fishing the Lower Sac, because I've spent thousands of days on it over the past 12 years, and I live less than a mile from the river. It's my backyard...literally.

ps-I do believe I had some role in you scoring your AK gig....so I guess I'm not that bad a guy.

Lighten up a bit

Sorry for going off Shane. I really dont participate here much any more but just a couple weeks ago when I checked the board there was a response to Ryans post from you about a a big breakfast of spam from you. It just seems if the moderators are saying its ok for those type of posts why do we have the have the side comentary everytime about "spam" and "I could but I dont".
I know there are people that dont get on the water as many days as you and I and they do enjoy reading current reports. If you or angler nut are bothered by these reports why cant you just stay away from them. Why does it have to be a big discussion everytime...come to think of it thats why I dont participate much anymore.
You have always been cool with me and when I said expert I did mean it. I wasnt being sarcastic at all I'm sure you are one of the better lower sac anglers.

Stay inside... never go fishing especially during winter... it sucks... don't go... There are definately no Steelhead in California rivers... You might as well go to Oregon.

I been around this bb a long time, and have had my share of "don't post spam" replies to my 'reports' back in the day. Doesn't help that I'm associated with "the big guys". Everybody likes to not like the big guys.

Guess it's time for the new guy to go thru the spam talk.

And a report is a report.

I (so-n-so guide service) guided "Joe" from SF and we hooked over 50 fish...I have open dates remaining...See my guide page for details... -----is NOT as much a report as it is a business plug - IMO.

Greg - good to see ya back. Missed sharin' water on the Big Ku w/ ya this year. The mouse fishing downstream was outstanding before the socks arrived !!!!!

sd it sounds like you've got your piece of the pie, why not just let this guy pay his bills. we've all been guilty of this kind of thing before.

Fishing is fun .Competitive people are not.You dont have anything nice to say dont say it.We are not going to agree with everyone or every thing that happens on this board.Just because you have a library card dont mean you have to read every book in the building and like it..An open board like this is the same thing..Some people enjoy RJ's reports and others will not.Dont ruin it for those who do..

Eric-- I think if you look closely to the link you provided you will see that the Site admin says "keep the reports coming." Anyways I like the reports, have fished with Ryan, and will do so many more times. Always have enjoyable and fish filled days on the river with him

Anyways have not been tying much lately because I broke my finger sledding with the kids but may do some soon. Interested? Let me know. Jarrett

Hey Jarrett,

Well, the Kiene site administrator posted the "keep 'em coming" after he
deleted every post that called Ryan on the spam. This type of
spamming would never have been allowed before on the ncffb. He would
have been lambasted, plain and simple. So not sure why it's allowed
now?

I don't doubt that fishing with him is not enjoyable and that he's
not a great guy. But IMHO his posts aren't a call to engage in
conversation...they are a call to call him and book a spot. And
there are zero replies to his weekly posts on the other board.

Not to mention that his post on the ncffb is verbatim to his
Kiene post 'cept for the part where he mentions what dates
he has left open to book a trip. I'd call that "spamming"
online bulletin boards.

My .02 cents. Just calling a spade a spade...or a spam a spam
