Alaska Guiding 17 Years, 11 Months ago
I've had the best three summers of my life, guiding a wonderful place in AK, where the rainbows reach 34" and we flew to a different river almost every day.

Unfortunately, I am unable to return for my 4th year, due to life (wife) changes.

As a favor to the owner (and my good friend) I am trying to help him find my replacement.

If you, or anyone you know, is interested in guiding AK, and have lots of FF'ing EXPERIENCE (no newbies please) I may be able to get you pointed in the right direction. Season would be approx. June 1 - Oct. 1.

Email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information and details.

Again, please no newbies. And you must not be afraid to fly. This is a top notch 5-star lodge, with the best fleet of float planes in Bristol Bay. You will fly almost daily.

The best news ? -- the lodge is located ON one of the top two Trophy Rainbow Rivers in the STATE!!!! And you are allowed to fish after work

Thanks for your time -
sd

More like you can help strip wallpaper, install hardwood floors, landscape, paint...

I went out with Shane last week, 20+ hookups up to 22".

"Rivers course through my dreams, rivers cold and fast, rivers well-known and rivers nameless, rivers that seem like ribbons of blue water twisting through wide valleys, narrow rivers folded in layers of darkening shadow, rivers that have eroded down deep in a mountain's belly, sculpted the land, peeled back the planet's history exposing the texture of time itself."
— Harry Middleton (Rivers of Memory)

"Each night as I haul myself onto the back of county garbage truck no. 2, there is a familiar wind, some thread of moonglow or starlight, a splatter of dark rain on my skin, something that stirs my memory, and again, if even for a brief moment, I am on some mountain river, some stretch of bright water, full of possibilities, including the possibility of trout, perhaps one that, when hooked, will haul me in and out of time, in and out of life's mysterious and frightening, wondrous and incomprehensible continuum, even to the edges of the universe." -- Harry Middleton
