Talked to some fellows in my local fly shop yesterday who had fished it a week ago. They indicated fishing was tough, but there are fish in the river and they did catch some. I didn't ask what part of the river.

I work in the area I haven't been able to fish in a couple weeks. I was in Hoopa friday talked to a couple guys who said they where getting into some steelhead. The upper river isn't like it was a month ago most fish are up high by the hatchery. Most of the salmon fishing has stopped.

I fished the Trinity three days last week. The best day I had was last Monday and it went down hill from there. I fished on Thursday and it was much more crowded, colder it was snowing, and not as many fish seemed to be around. I did talk with one guy in a boat and he said the fish that he had seen were together in pods so you have to find the fish and go from there. Good luck.
