Steelheading, and oysters! Dawn is not only beautiful, but brainy, as well.

Should we move it up the coast a little bit? Do it over the whole weekend? Call it a mini-bash?

Where's the spot? Fish, fire, and fido friendly....

Steelhead AND oysters? 17 Years, 5 Months ago
A good beach, with good dogs and great people.....Where is the downside? Just tell me when and where and I will be there. Steelhead, oysters, good food, a bit of good wine (OK....Maybe more than just a bit.) This is sounding great!

I was just looking at that. Manchester has a KOA which is a little civilized, but perhaps the way to go, that time of year (room for rvs, as well as kabins). It has a large firepit and an outdoor covered kitchen, with sinks, 1 electric grill and 2 charcoal grills. Plus a hot tub, pool table, and small store. It also has a fenced dog park, but the beach itself (a 3/4 mile walk on a trail) - I don't know if it's fido friendly. I'll keep looking...

To name those creeks aloud on the NCFFB brings a cacophony of criticism and anti-NCFFB sentiment the likes of which is rarely seen. It has been a couple of years, but I say it is time for another NCFFB invasion to the area.

Nothing South of Fort Bragg, other than the Russian is open yet. Needs rain and a significant amount. Manchester State Park and Campgound is a good bet. KOA is NOT mini-bash friendly with restrictions on fire and an early curfew.

BTW, Dawn, not unimaginative...ignorant! 17 Years, 5 Months ago
There's still a lot of NorCal that I haven't explored. Unfortunately, I've already got business appointments for Jan. 27 and Feb. 23.

Damn! That's not enough time to properly fish for winter steelhead.

Is Manchester Campground a good bet, if it's raining? I think we need a lil shelter, and am willing to "ratchet it down", for it.
