Something to lower heart rates... River Art 17 Years, 5 Months ago
OK, leaving behind issues like fishing tournaments and if we hurt a fish's feelings by giving it some well needed exercise, I am looking for river art. I know a few folks that certainly put out some great stuff... like Fred Gordon (www.fredgordon.net) or Mark Tompkins (www.marktompkins.com) or Andrew Maurer (www.troutstreamdesigns.com) or Jeff Bright (www.jeffbright.com)... but I'm looking for more.

Do you know other river/fish artists?

I'm looking for folks to exhibit/sell at an FOR festival in March. 15% commission goes to FOR, by the way.

Greg Pearson Watercolors

Not sure if he's interested but I know he's done other charity stuff in the past (all profit on Spey to Z goes to a variety of charities). Shoot him an email.

Bjorn,

Give Roger Carbone a try. I fished with him on the Deschutes. Nice guy who does some wonderful fish sculptures. Check out his site:

James donated to my event in October, so he's probably tapped out. Love his stuff though!

Well, I don't know that your comments are leaving behind those issues.... It's odd to me that someone that has consistently made comments that make light of being careful with fish when playing them and has suggested in the past that wading in sensitive areas doesn't impact them would feel qualified to write a conservation column. It seems to me that having respect and concern for the well being of your quarry would be the first qualification needed.
