Just finished reading a book I stumbled on a couple of weeks ago: Dangerous River by R.M. Patterson. I believe it was first published in 1954, it is his narrative of two trips he took to the Nahanni River in the Northwest Territories. Not a lot of fishing (basically mentions some fish that were caught) but some great canoeing, snowshoeing, trapping, hunting, and fine writing about the whole experience. Tons of fun. I'm not sure it's in print any more, but there are used paperbacks on Amazon,
