The Northern California Fly Fishing Board

No, not one of those dreams. One of those dreams where suddenly, kind of out of nowhere, you're going fishing. The rod is there, there's maybe even some water right near by, but then it all starts going bad. The line is tangled. Then there's not even a reel. Weird, I was just trying to get the line untangled. Can I borrow a reel? Okay, wait, the line and leader have been jerry-rigged so many times I can't even get it through the guides, or through the eye of the fly. Folks I'm with are rolling their eyes. Lots of fish not being caught. Then I woke up or moved on to the next thing. Jeez, at least I wasn't naked.

Happy Thanksgiving...

I had one along those lines last night also.

All my buddies were heading out to the water and the steelhad were on fire.
I couldn't find my waders.
I woke up in a cold sweat!

Weird. Must have been something going around.

...those %%$#@#@ dreams too! I can never get everything
together to hook a fish.

It's quite irritating...in my sleep that is.

I recently had the best fishing dream I've ever had. In the dream I was walking during winter in heavy snow along a frozen stream. I was looking along a cut bank thinking it would be a great spot to fish in warmer weather. Suddenly it was a beautifull warm sping day and I was casting effortlessly into the stream. I hooked a nice fish (I never did see it in the dream) and that was the end. I woke up feeling so good and refreshed. I wish I could have that dream all the time. Good stuff.
