Yuba River 17 Years, 6 Months ago
Hello Everyone,

I'm back from Montana. I was thinking about fishing the Lower Yuba, so I was hoping somebody could tell me how it's fishing? I have never had the chance to fish it. So any info would be helpful.

Thank you

Michael

In a word, SLOW. I hear that the fish that are being caught can be taken on large hoppers. Good luck

It has been fishing SLOW! There are very few salmon in the system and the fish are not ripping the egg...yet they are taking it...try a brown micro may...

The floods we got in 04 and 05 really changed this river--loss of veg. translated into loss of bugs. Also, I am sure the high flows killed a lot of fish...

If you are going to fish on top trig a big stimulator/hopper with a e/c caddis dropper...
