Hey Phil,
I heard the same thing Wednesday night from a buddy who went to our "secret spot". He just beat 4 guys there, and one stayed to fish near him anyhow. (I guess it's not so secret.) Yesterday there were 3 guys fishing around him.
Although in 2 days of fishing he did manage to land some, he decided to leave a day early. He sounded a bit down about the experience.
As for me, it's just a priviledge to be able to get up there, with or without the crowds. Besides, what else would I do with 2 weeks during autumn steelie season?
