Eel River question. 17 Years, 6 Months ago
I'm heading up to Hoopa next week and plan to come back via Eureka. Is the Eel in and around Weott open now? The regs say S.Fork is, but I'm not real sure I'm reading it right. I read, I can fish from about Shivley down.

Sal-Man, you gonna be around Sunday? We should be passin' through Weaverville area aound 2 or so.

Call 707-442-4502 the day before you plan to fish and see if the river is open. All the North Coast Streams are under low flow restrictions right now. They opened up last week, but if we do not get more rain they will close again if they have not already.

The fishing should be much better on the trinity right there in Hoopa than on the eel right now anyway
