Any peports on the Pit, McCloud and Upper Sac and vacinity? 17 Years, 6 Months ago  
I'll be in Burney and Mt. Shasta 11/1 - 11/7. Wondering how they are fishing or if I'll miss anything good in the area? The Fall for instance or Hat creek?

Are we into Oct. Caddas yet?

Any help would, as always be appreciated. Mike

Just got back. Last week Monday the Mccloud was a mud hole so we left it. Pit, lower and upper sac were all good. Trinity was silly good but a zoo.

I had the same experience. 17 Years, 6 Months ago  
I was also fishig the Upper Sac on Saturday. Same thing- a few grabs, but no fish to the hand.

However, the golf at the Mt. Shasta Resort on Sunday was fantastic!!

Did you fish the Trinity on a weekday or weekend?
What was working on the Pit? Many anglers?

Trinity was last Wed. Short drift to Sky ranch. We put in late and stayed behind most which seemed to work out well.
Pit was a tad off color on Tuesday but fished pretty well anyway with small mayfly nymphs(pmd's, Hogans s&m, (18's)and a sz 14 tan birds nest. We didn't see another person only some PG&E vehicles on the road.

Fished the Pit October 18th - 21st. Did really well, even in the rain. We got most fish on size 14 rubber leg hares ears. Second to that fly was an 18 PT and a 16 RS2 in tan. Seemed like we caught more fish a little further down the 3 reach than right at the dam but bigger average sized fish up higher. Nothing on dries.
