Heard that Eagle Lake was already going. Fish are already in the shallows.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.

That's certainly Eagle's reputation but I've had some very productive fishing there without iced up guides and frozen whiskers...but the foul weather does make for a better story and the bourbon always seems to taste just a little better...
